Nokia 2 was tested in the popular AnTuTu benchmark
Two days before the official announcement, the entry-level smartphone Nokia 2 was tested in the popular AnTuTu benchmark, where the detailed characteristics of the device were once again displayed.
Nokia 2 (TA-1035) will become the “junior” gadget in the HMD Global lineup and will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor, Adreno 304 graphics accelerator, 1 GB of operative and 8 GB of internal memory. Against the background of modern mobile devices, Nokia 2 looks rather archaic, but weak parameters are compensated by an extremely low price.
It is known that users will get an 8-megapixel main and a 5-megapixel front camera. Out of the Box, Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The diagonal of the screen does not open, but most likely it will be 4.5 to 5 inches at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Aspect ratio will remain traditional: 16: 9.
For a smartphone with such characteristics, the American retailer B & H recently asked for just $99, announcing pre-order on its website. It is unlikely that the gadget will remain the US exclusive.
According to some rumors, HMD Global can release versions of Nokia-2 with a processor from MediaTek and 2GB of RAM.
Presumably, the device will also acquire the most capacious battery among all representatives of Nokia in 2017 – for 4,000 mAh. For comparison, the flagship “Eight” got a battery for 3 090 mAh.
- The official announcement of Nokia 2 will be held on October 31 in India.
