New Processors From Intel Is 10-nm
The network has information on the timing of the emergence of new processors from Intel. In late August, she introduced the mobile chipsets of the eighth generation, and a month later announced the first desktop processors Coffee Lake. As it became known, Intel plans to release its four-core and six-core chipsets of the Coffee Lake-H series in the first quarter of 2018, while the processors Coffee Lake-U and Coffee Lake-H vPro are expected in the second quarter of the same year.
All chips of the family Coffee Lake are made according to the relatively old 14-nm process technology. The release of Cannon Lake chips, performed on a 10-nm process, was planned for the second half of this year, but due to problems with production technology, the release was postponed for the next year.
It is expected that processors of the new generation of Intel Cannon Lake created on 10-nm process technology will be presented in June or July 2018 together with models of the Cannon Lake-Y line. A year later, the Ice Lake processors should be released, and after that the family of Tiger Lake chips, also manufactured using 10-nm process technology, will be announced.
