Google releases Android 7.1.1 for the Nexus lines and Pixel

Google has released a new version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and with it the December security patch. The update is available for range Pixel, and the Nexus series of devices.

It is also important to note that the Nexus 6, released more than two years ago (in October 2014), while only got fresh security update, and the version of Android has not changed (7.0). However, Google has already announced in his blog that the update for this  machine will be released in few weeks.

 

Among the main changes to Android 7.1.1 is the support of shortcuts for quick access to applications, the Quick Settings menu setting is now enabled by default, the opportunity to perform a reboot for the long press the power button, the settings in the application is now available with round the clock support from Google, added support gestures and renewed testing of new versions of the software menu.

Upgrading to Android 7.1.1 is currently available for the following devices:

Google Pixel  ;
Google Pixel the XL;
6P the Nexus ;
5X the Nexus ;
C Pixel ;
Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi access) ;
Nexus 9 (the LTE) ;
Player Get the Nexus .
Initially, the update will be released only to a small number of devices, but for two weeks, it should be available to all users over the air.
