Xiaomi Mi5: Xiaomi Fails to Meet 14 Million Pre-Order Demand

The flagship Xiaomi Mi5 was introduced just over a week ago but has already managed to achieve unprecedented success in the Chinese market. Even before the official sales of smartphone, the pre-ordered saw very huge turn up of nearly 14 million people. A little later – already 17 million. The device was sold out in a matter of minutes, despite the best efforts of Xiaomi to collect the appropriate number of smartphone demand. Therefore, many will put off buying Xiaomi Mi 5 for several months.

Recall, Xiaomi Mi5 released in versions Standart (3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory) and Pro (4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory). Soon the market will be presented Mi5 Special Edition with 4 GB / 128 GB. All variants are equipped with the flagship 5-inch Full HD-display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 820.

According to Taiwan Economic Daily, Xiaomi has produced just 4 million Mi5 to the official release day, which amounted to only a quarter of the total number of pre-orders for the smartphone. The company turned to its partners Foxconn and Inventec requested to direct all forces to accelerate production. However, a huge number of pre-order Xiaomi Mi5 users still get their smartphones, not until April or even May.
