Activision buys Over Candy Crush Saga Developer





Activision Blizzard has bought a studio King, famous for the popular mobile game
Candy Crush Saga.

 The deal summed to $5.9 billion. Following the published data,
 Activision Blizzard paid the sum of $18 in cash for each share of King. Although details of the deal are still being discussed, Activision hopes that the purchase will be completed by next spring.

If the deal is completed, the publisher will receive 2 of the 5 most profitable mobile games: Candy Crush
 Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga. The company Activision owns the most successful
console franchise (Call of Duty) and is the most popular computer franchise in the World of Warcraft.

Activision Blizzard said that the acquisition of King will make Activision Blizzard the world leader in interactive entertainment on mobile platforms, consoles and PC, which will contribute to the future growth of the company,” – said representatives of Activision Blizzard.

Bobby Kotick also added that the company have long admired King’s work and how he captured the heart of the Candy Crush player.

We have long admired, how King consistently creates a funny and attractive free-to-play games that capture the players of all ages. Activision Blizzard  offered King his experience, support and investment to continue working on their heritage to achieve new heights” – said Bobby Kotick.
