Lantern One Device, Free Data for every one for life

Lantern: One Device, Free Data From Space Forever.

As funny as it may sound and as impossible as it may look; a company in US Outernet is aiming at providing free wifi network to every human in the word.

HOW POSSIBLE IS THAT?

I also asked the same question but according to the company’s Outernet website, the company have developed a device called Lantern, and they clam that ” Lantern turns radio signal into digital files, like webpages,
news articles, ebooks, videos, and music.

The company also clams to offer 10megabyte currently after they closed campaign on  12 of January 2015.

Hours after the campaign closed on January 12, 2015 we sailed past
$500,000 to unlock 10 MB/day to the entire world. Now that Lantern is a
part of InDemand, the campaign continues.
If we can make it to $ 1 million, we can increase the output of
Outernet’s Fixed Service. The difference between the Mobile Service,
which feeds Lantern, and the Fixed Service is that you need a satellite
dish. We have designed Lantern to be able to plug into a dish, allowing
it to be mobile when it needs to be or high volume if Lantern is
stationary.
Right now, the Fixed Service is live
and broadcasting 200 MB/day on three satellites covering North America,
Europe, Africa, and parts of the Middle East. If we reach $1 million,
we can turn on additional satellites to cover the whole world.

Now to answer the question above this is what the company have to say

If the aims and objective of this company is met, what then is the faith other network providers like MTN, Etisalat, Glo, Airtel and other?
or is this just one of those normal dreams? Please do share your view about this company’s dreams with us via the comment box.
